How do I access the courses on the website?

To access the online courses on the website, you will need to create an account and log in. Once you are logged in, you will be able to browse the available courses and enrol in those that interest you.

Is there a certificate or other recognition for completing a course?

This will depend on the course and the platform. Some courses may offer a certificate of completion or other recognition for successful completion, while others may not. Check the course description or reach out to customer support for more information.

How long does it take to complete a course?

The duration of a course will vary depending on the course content and format. Some courses may be self-paced and allow you to complete them at your own speed, while others may have a set schedule or deadline for completion. Review the course description and syllabus for more information.

What is the difference between the courses offered by the Adult College and the courses offered by the Digital Support Network?

We have partnered up with the Adult College to offer additional courses for Digital Champions. The courses we offer on our website are pivotal for the development of Digital Champions and will be based around residential knowledge and essential volunteering training.

The courses offered by the Adult College are optional to Digital Champions. They have been provided to enhance your learning journey.

Can I get help or support if I am having trouble with a course?

If you are having trouble with a course, please contact volunteering@lbbd.gov.uk with the name of the course that you need support with.

Is there a way to connect with other students or instructors on the platform?

You will have access to the B&D Digital Champion Network. This means that you will be able to communicate with other Digital Champions through the Microsoft Teams Chat.

Right now, we’re in the beginning stages of development for our new website. We have a variety of new features that are due to be implemented in the coming year. As we progress, we will be including features that allow Digital Champions and Instructors to communicate online. Stay tuned!

What is the Resource Hub?

The Resource Hub will act as the designated area for important resources. This page will enable Digital Champions to find useful topics and guidance that can be used to aid their sessions or aid their learners.

It will also include important resources based on the Essential Digital Skills Qualification (EDSQ) Framework.
